Viktor Van River is a musician from Almaty, Kazakhstan. Born in 1991, he started making music at the age of 15 and has since become one of the most well-known representatives of the trip-hop genre on the music scene.

Viktor has released 9 albums so far, two of which were released in Bulgaria and the rest in the USA. His music is full of emotions, atmosphere, and mystery, which attracts the attention of listeners from all over the world.

In 2017, Viktor made his debut performance at the Bass Place venue, and since then his music career has gained momentum. He has also performed at the SunChill stage of the Foure festival and participated in several Qazaq indie label festivals.

He is inspired by the music of legendary groups such as Portishead, Massive Attack, Tricky, Jimi Hendrix, and Jean-Michel Jarre, and skillfully incorporates their style into his compositions.

In 2020, Viktor won the “Best Electronic Album” category with his album Fake Detective at the CCMA. In 2022, he was nominated in the same category for another album.

Viktor’s music has been frequently played on local radio as well as on National Radio of Bulgaria.
