Based in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Viktor Van River is a producer and composer who has been crafting cinematic trip-hop since 2006. With a prolific discography of 9 albums released internationally (USA, Bulgaria), his sound is a deep dive into noir textures, mystery, and atmospheric tension.

Drawing inspiration from the foundations laid by Massive Attack and Portishead, Viktor bridges the gap between the gritty heritage of Bristol and the modern independent scene of Central Asia. His 2020 LP, Fake Detective, was awarded “Best Electronic Album” at the CCMA, cementing his reputation as a key voice in the genre.
